AS YOUSE LIKE IT (2025)
Shakespeare's As You Like It, but make it Jersey? And Amish? This was the initial concept for As Youse Like It, where the mob family of Duke Frederick and the world of the Pennsylvania Amish collide. Also taking inspiration from Bruce Springsteen songs, the production is a high-spirits musical with montages, full song-and-dance numbers, and harmonica solos. It was important to capture the show's humor and to translate the many script changes we made into my designs. For example, Touchstone was genderbent, so we made her the modern maid of the de Boys' house. Similarly, Le Beau was changed to La Beau, and the smaller roles such as Hymen and Sir Martext became her many disguises.
